Ventura County is located in Southern California and has a diverse range of tree species that are well adapted to the Mediterranean climate of the region. Here are some of the most common trees found in Ventura County:

  1. Coast Live Oak (Quercus agrifolia): This is a large evergreen tree that is native to California and is commonly found in Ventura County. It has thick, dark green leaves and produces acorns that are an important food source for many animals.
  2. California Sycamore (Platanus racemosa): This is a deciduous tree that is native to California and is found in riparian habitats throughout Ventura County. It has distinctive bark that peels off in large flakes and produces large, round fruit.
  3. Western Redbud (Cercis occidentalis): This is a small deciduous tree that is native to California and is found in many areas of Ventura County. It produces beautiful pink or purple flowers in the spring and has heart-shaped leaves.
